Birds in the Garden

Part of the summer beauty of the Garden of the Phoenix is its location within the Paul Douglas Nature Sanctuary on Wooded Island and the birds that live there. Easiest to spot are the large fishing birds.

The Japanese Garden's very own special bird--a hybrid egret/little blue heron with white chest and colored wings. It's small like the night heron.
